NEWS FLASH (10/03/07) - The meeting on Monday October 8th is at Friendship Lanes. We will be bowling from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm! Opening Flag Ceremony Assignments -10/10/07-Flaming Arrows; 17/10/07-Cow Patrol; 24/10/07-Dragon Slayers. Each Patrol on assigned Flag Ceremony duty is asked to arrive in Full Class A (including sashes) by no later than 6:45 pm in order to practice their flag skills before the meeting begins.

TROOP 4 ANIMAL REFUGE CENTER SERVICE PROJECT - On Saturday October 27th we will be conducting our service project at the Animal Refuge Center in North Fort Myers. All boys are expected to wear work clothes that are suitable for dirty work. All boys should also bring a set of work gloves with them. Please arrive at the ARC by no later than 8:00 am. PEACE RIVER CANOE TRIP - Our annual overnight canoe trip on the Peace River is scheduled for Saturday October 20th to Sunday October 21st. Registrations must be completed by no later than Monday October 15th. We will be paddling the Zolfo Springs to Gardner Boat Ramp run - about 24 miles. The river should have lots of water this time as we are in rainy season! Saturday night and Sunday AM meals will be cooked by Patrol. ORDER OF THE ARROW VISIT - OSCEOLA LODGE - The OA will be visiting the Troop on Monday October 15th to conduct OA nominations. Please remember to nominate deserving youth members! Tap outs will happen at the District Camporee after XMAS.

FORT MYERS RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE SERVICE PROJECT - On Monday October 22nd Troop 4 will not be meeting at the church. We will be meeting in Fort Myers at the Ronald McDonald House - located near Health Park. Every boy is expected to show up at this event in full Class A Uniform. CAMPING MERIT BADGE - The Troop will be visited by the Pack 8463 WEBELOS II's and will begin working on the Camping Merit Badge on Monday October 29th. Assistant Scoutmaster Uncle Jim Thompson is our counselor for this badge. Each boy who has not yet earned this Eagle required MB is expected to make every effort to attend. Boys should also purchase the MB book - which can be purchased in Fort Myers at the Scout Shop. Remember - every boy needs to read the entire book!
